The Band

Myo

Singer Myo is French born with an Italian mother and her late father a tribal chief in Cameroon.
In the 80's Myo was part of the group True Life Confessions. They were constantly in the press, mostly for outrageous onstage antics, and there was a queue of names from big bands wanting to perform with them. Squeeze bass player and world dance pioneer Harri Kakoulli was part of the band for a year.
She has toured supporting Aswad and worked with names such as Tim Finn of Crowded House.

Myo

A fan of Pete's band Glow from having seen them live several times a chance encounter lead to Myo joining as backing vocalist for several years.
A prolific songwriter herself she then went on to gig her own material with Glow percussionist and later Orchid-Star guest Sean Quinn.
Pete continued to bring Myo into other recording projects, including 'Return to Ibu-at' on his own album 'Aria' and wrote 'Mouse' with her with a view to possibility of growing it into a live project which of course became Orchid-Star. Along with these she has worked for many years with reggae artist Dereck Rose, touring with Whirlwind, releasing an album with Roots Africa and a single under Dereck's name this year.
