The Band

Julia Szederkenyi

One of the 2 new additions to the band, Julia, a.k.a. Elysha Fields has stepped beautifully into the shoes of original violinist Kait, filling a gap that had lasted too long.
Born in Canada to Hungarian musican parents, she moved to Japan when she was three, and began violin studies the following year with her father, principal concertmaster of the Century Orchestra Osaka and international soloist. By the age of thirteen she had won various Canadian music competitions and performed nationally with the Brandon Chamber Players.
To ensure the best possible music education, her family moved to Vienna when she was 14. Studying privately under Marina Sorokova she performed as a soloist throughout Austria and was then accepted into the renowned University of Music, Vienna, at the age of 16 as their youngest violinist.

She went on to study with György Pauk in London and at the famous Tibor Varga Academy of Music in Switzerland. Solo performances at festivals and concerts continued through her studies in Vienna but her path then changed abruptly when she was asked to play in the A-Danceclub, Vienna. Since then she has focused on the electric violin, much in demand for performances in clubs around Europe.
She has toured and performed around the world with, amongst others, Quruli, Wolfgang Ambros, Jasper Forks and Sarah Brightman.
