French-born SandRa has been dancing practically since she could stand. She studied ballet and was dancing professionally by her teens. When she moved to England she studied Karnatic singing and Karnatic dance at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan founded by Mahatma Ghandi, coincidentally where Pete's own daughter Alia studied Hindustani vocal and harmonium.
She is well known on the festival and club scene for a beautiful poised solo performances, which in recent years have often used Orchid-Star's music.

The first danced with Orchid-Star in 2006 at the Big Green Gathering and it was much commented on that she added a new, very spiritual essence to the performance.
Increasingly frequent appearances lead to her now being regarded as much a part of Orchid-Star as anyone and she added to her onstage presence with the beautiful Karnatic vocals on Orchid-Star's latest track Lotus Bloom
